BLOOM (Kickoff) - Spring Community Project
NYXO x Sallie Joy Flowers / LOWER EAST SIDE

This is the second flower “wall” we have created together. One was inside with silk flowers. This time we used real flowers outside. Clinton/Stanton was the perfect location. We rolled up to the garden and approached 4 gentlemen with a photo of the flowers and pointed at the fence and tried to explain what we wanted to do in Spanish. Roberto the boss figure just nodded and said “si”. Then texted Sallie the location and she brought the goods! The sun was setting and people were on their commute home - perfect timing. We met so many happy people who were stoked at the improv spring treat. We now have friends at all the other gardens on Stanton street. We gave flowers to children that were amazed at the colors and we met Will who is 85 and has lived on Stanton street since the 60s, he bought a building with friends and each took a floor. After talking with him and cracking jokes he invited us to tour his building/apartment - What a treat. 🌸🙏🏼
